One of the best ways to travel to St. Lucia is via a cruise ship. As you arrive there are scenic views all of the island from all angles. The duration and cost of the cruise depends on what port you leave out of. Flying is always an option if you do not have the time for a cruise.

Outdoor activities to do once you arrive

• Explore the various beaches — Some of the best ones will require a cab ride to visit
• Take a guided tour — One of the best ways to see the island is via a tour. Typically the tours run about 2 hours. During the tours there are various opportunities to get out the vehicle and explore such as visiting a banana farm
• Walk through the various shops — The best shops are the ones owned and operated by locals. The tourist shops only yield cheap unauthentic souvenirs. There is plenty of duty free luxury shopping on the islands.
• Enjoy some of the great local cuisine — Island food is some of the best.
